Last Sunday, November 9, the 26th edition of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona was held, which has become one of the most emblematic events in the city. The 18,000 bib numbers available were sold out and a new record was reached for female participation: 41% women, that is, 7,451 runners at the start.

More than 18,000 participants, the best number since 2015, filled the streets of Barcelona in a true sporting and solidarity celebration, sharing the circuit with members of the Barcelona Fire Department. The day also stood out for its extremely high level of competition: Meritxell Soler set a new Catalan record and Marta Galimany broke the European record in the F40 category. In terms of solidarity, the race marked a historic milestone by raising more than €60,000 for charitable initiatives, the highest amount in the entire history of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona.

This year’s edition has also been the most charitable of all. The total amount raised has exceeded €60,000, a new record. Of this, more than €44,000 came from 21 challenges promoted by Bombers Solidaris through migranodearena.org, to which is added more than €18,000 from race registrations.
