CHARITY RACE

Supports and mentors young people experiencing social and economic vulnerability.

Fundació Impulsa is a leading organisation in Catalonia that provides scholarships and mentoring to young people experiencing social and economic vulnerability, helping them pursue vocational education and training (VET) programmes and enter the labour market.

For two or four years, they receive financial support, a laptop, training in emotional and workplace skills, mentoring from a volunteer who acts as their mentor, and ongoing guidance and support from the Foundation’s psycho-pedagogical team.
The results are very positive. Since 2015, more than 780 young people in Catalonia have received scholarships, and more than 80% have completed their VET studies—well above the 50% average across Catalonia.

The social project is currently present in 13 areas across Catalonia (Osona, Bages, Anoia, Moianès, Berguedà, Garrotxa, Gironès, Baix Empordà, Alt Penedès, La Selva, Pla de l’Estany, and the cities of Sabadell and Terrassa), with the aim of expanding Impulsa’s work to all of Catalonia’s counties in the coming years.
This is a goal that the Foundation’s team and Board of Trustees are firmly committed to. The Board is made up of a group of entrepreneurs from Osona who decided to establish the Foundation in 2015.

The Cultural and Sports Association of the Barcelona Fire Department

The Cultural and Sports Association of the Barcelona Fire Department (ACE) is a non-profit organisation whose objectives include promoting a wide range of cultural activities among its members, encouraging participation in sport, and promoting and supporting social and humanitarian aid initiatives.

It was with this spirit in mind that the ACE was founded in 1962. The association is responsible for organising and promoting activities proposed by its members or by the Board itself, provided that they are feasible and of interest to the group.
