CHARITY RACE

Fundació Impulsa is a leading non-profit organisation in Catalonia that provides scholarships and comprehensive support to young people facing social and economic vulnerability, enabling them to pursue Vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes and successfully enter the labour market.

For a period of two to four years, each student receives financial support, a laptop, training in emotional and employability skills, guidance from a volunteer mentor, and ongoing support from the Foundation’s educational psychology team. The results have been highly positive: since 2015, more than 780 young people across Catalonia have received scholarships, and over 80% have successfully completed their VET studies, significantly exceeding the Catalan average completion rate of 50%.

The Foundation currently operates in 13 territories across Catalonia (Osona, Bages, Anoia, Moianès, Berguedà, Garrotxa, Gironès, Baix Empordà, Alt Penedès, La Selva, Pla de l’Estany, and the cities of Sabadell and Terrassa), with the goal of expanding its work to all Catalan counties in the coming years. This ambition is firmly shared by both the Foundation’s team and its Board of Trustees, which is made up of a group of business leaders from Osona who founded the organisation in 2015.
