1. RUN WITH THE FIREFIGHTERS
Running alongside the Barcelona Firefighters is an unforgettable experience. In each edition, more than 350 members of the corps take the start loaded with more than 20 kg of equipment, leading all the participants.

2. FAST ROUTES WITH VIA LAIETANA, IMPROVE YOUR 10K MARK!
In addition to the spectacle of seeing firefighters in full uniform, the Vueling Cursa de Bombers Barcelona is also a perfect setting for elite runners to seek great times.
Irene Kwambai set the women’s record in 2005 with 31’25” and Josphat Menjo the men’s record in 2010 with 27’04”. Last year, the victory went to Adam Maijó (29:27), while Meritxell Soler won the women’s category (32:57).
3. 15,008 REGISTERED IN 2024
In 2023, 13,500 runners participated in the 24th edition of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona, in 2024 the number increased to 15,000 and this year we want the number to increase even more. The number of participating firefighters also increases year after year, exceeding 300.

4. SOLIDARY RACE
The VCBB is not just a sport: it is also a social commitment. The 2024 edition was marked by a special memory for those affected by DANA in Valencia. This year’s goal is to exceed the more than €51,000 raised in solidarity initiatives, one of them being “Running to Give a Break” by Nexe Fundació, the project featured in the first episode of Solidariência Parlant 2025
5. INCLUSIVE RACE
The Vueling Firefighters’ Race is inclusive and accessible. Associations such as “Corre amb mi” and “Inclusyendo Sonrisas” participate to ensure that everyone can enjoy the 10 km, whether with wheelchairs, adapted strollers and always with the support of volunteers and firefighters.

6. 40.1% FEMALE PARTICIPATION IN 2024
Running is becoming more and more feminine, and the Bombers is good proof of this, with a percentage of female participants that has continued to increase year after year.
7. THE 1ST COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL IN THE HISTORY OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
This year, for the first time, all participants will be able to obtain a commemorative medal as a memento of their participation in the race!

8. VOLUNTEERS
Reaching 26 editions would not have been possible without the more than 100 volunteers from Voluntaris 2.000. Thanks to them, everything works: from collecting bibs to organizing the drawers, the cloakroom and the refreshment points.
9. THE RUNNING PARTY
The VCBB is a very important date on the city’s calendar and has been growing unstoppably for many years. Last year, more than 15,000 runners took to the streets of Barcelona… and this 2025 we hope to have more than 18,000.
