The solidarity aspect of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona grows year after year, largely thanks to the solidarity challenges promoted by Bombers Solidaris.
Today we meet the promoters of the solidarity challenge ‘Muévete por los que no Pueden‘, and the Firefighters of Barcelona who will support the challenge in the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona 2023, which achieved the 2nd position on the solidarity podium.
The monthly content ‘Solidàriament Parlant’ area series of short interviews to the protagonists of the first 5 challenges of the solidarity podium of last year’s race.
‘Muévete por los que no Pueden’ raised around6.000€. An impressive figure that was possible thanks to the donations to the migranodearena platform, the donations from the registrations by the runners and also to the donation of €1000 from Caixabank.
Cristian Pacheco,fromBombers de Barcelona’s Parc de Sant Andreu, and one of the driving forces behind the challenge, comments: “We raised around 6.000€ that have been destined to DDX3X association, that they are doing studies with a zebra fish and a library of more than 800 fàrmacs, to see how it evolves and if there is any kind of cure”.
Marcos Bajo, co-founder of Muévete por los que no Pueden, anon-profit association in favor of rare or minority diseases and the integration of people with disabilities: “Rare diseaser affect more than 3.000.000 people in Spain and 300.000.000 in the World.”
