New season of Solidàriament Parlant: Know the stories behind the charity challenges from Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona

  • `Corremos por Villavecchia y el cáncer infantil, the charity challenge with more fundraising in 2023, kicks off Solidàriament Parlant 2024.

  • Caixabank renews as Official Sponsor of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona and Social Partner of its Solidarity Challenges.

Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona presents its second season ofSolidàriament Parlant’, a series of short interviews to the protagonists of the first 5 challenges of the solidarity podium of last year’s race.

Episode 1 starts with the charity challengeCorremos por Villavecchia y el cáncer infantil’, that collected the highest amount in the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona 2023: a total of 8.385€. An impressive amount that was made possible thanks to donations in migranodearena platform, donations from runners registrations and the donation of 1.250€ from Caixabank.

L’Arce Garcia, from the Barcelona Fire Department, Parc de Montjuïc, and one of the driving forces behind the challenge, tells us how they start creating the challenge: “Last summer, taking photos with Matilda and her family, Thomas told us that he would run the race, and then we all thought: Why not we create a charity challenge?!

Thomas,Matilda’s father, the great protagonist of this challenge, explains the case of the little girl. How the Fundació Enriqueta Villavecchia (Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundaton, helps kids with cáncer: “My daughter Matilda was diagnosed four years ago, and since then, the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation has given us support… With this challenge we wanted to contribute to the rehabilitation of the Pavelló de la Victòria on the grounds of the hospital of Sant Pau. For the families and for the children to have a place to breathe at the end of their lives”.
