This year's edition, which already has more than 11,000 people registered, will also be the Catalan 10 km road race championship
Vueling and the Cursa Bombers Barcelona have renewed their collaboration agreement for the next three years. The airline will continue as the Title Sponsor of the race, which will retain the name Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona, further strengthening a partnership that connects the company with one of the city's most renowned and widely attended sporting events.
The renewal reinforces Vueling’s commitment to an event that is closely linked to Barcelona and brings together thousands of runners on its streets every year. An event that combines mass-participation sport and competition, and which has become a key date on the city’s running calendar.
The 2026 edition of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona will also feature a major sporting attraction by hosting the Catalonia 10 km Road Running Championship. The event is moving steadily towards race day on November 8, with a strong response from runners, and has already surpassed 11,000 registrations.
“We are very proud to continue counting on Vueling as the Title Sponsor of the Cursa Bombers Barcelona for the next three years. This is a very special partnership linked to Barcelona and a shared commitment to continue growing an event that is part of the city’s sporting calendar. This renewal allows us to keep working together on a well-established project that still has room to grow and to offer an even better experience for all runners every year,” said the organisers of the Vueling Cursa Bombers Barcelona.
Vueling strengthens its ties with Barcelona
Vueling is Barcelona’s airline and the leading carrier at El Prat Airport, its main hub. Since its founding in 2004, the company has maintained a close connection with the city and with Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, from where it connects Barcelona with more than 90 destinations across 30 countries in Europe and North Africa.
“We are very pleased to continue giving our name to this sporting event for the next three years and to remain part of one of Barcelona’s major occasions, the city where Vueling was born more than 20 years ago. It is especially rewarding for us to support an event that brings together thousands of participants and reflects values with which we strongly identify, such as effort, self-improvement, and a sense of community,” said Sandra Hors, Director of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Sustainability at Vueling.
With this renewal, Vueling and the Cursa Bombers Barcelona extend their partnership with the aim of continuing to promote one of Barcelona’s premier mass-participation running events and strengthening their connection with the city and its runners.
