Podoactiva, the company specialized in podiatry and biomechanics services with headquarters in Huesca and clinic in Avenida Diagonal, 363 (Barcelona), joins again as a partner in this edition of the race, which will be held on October 22. This collaboration is based on the shared interest in the health and well-being of the participants, focusing on a key aspect for the race: the feet.

The e-Running project is a project led by Podoactiva whose objective is to recommend the ideal shoe for a runner based on data about their biomechanics and sports practice. This recommendation is provided thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms that are being developed within the project. It should be noted that the company is in the early stages of the project and therefore data is needed. For this reason, an online survey has been designed with questions about the biomechanics and sports profile of the runner.

At present, the system does not yet provide a recommendation, but it is expected that the user will receive one as soon as we design the artificial intelligence, based on the data provided in the following survey:

Since its founding in 2006, Podoactiva has followed the motto “Tread well, live better” and has stood out for its focus on technology and innovation to improve the quality of life of its patients.

In addition, Podoactiva is a supplier to renowned sports institutions such as the Spanish Olympic Committee, the Spanish Paralympic Committee, the Royal Spanish Football Federation, as well as clubs such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Real Zaragoza and Sociedad Deportiva Huesca, among others. It also collaborates with professional basketball teams such as Valencia Basket and Casademont Zaragoza, as well as with the Movistar Team in cycling and high-level athletes in various disciplines.

Undoubtedly, it is a great honor to count on Podoactiva again for this new edition, which in addition to presenting a new circuit, promises to exceed all expectations.

More about Podoactiva

One of Podoactiva’s most outstanding projects is its R+D+i initiative, which seeks to intelligently and personally recommend the ideal running shoes for runners, taking into account each individual’s footprint and running style. To achieve this, they have developed a system that collects data through a survey with specific questions. This data will be used to feed an artificial intelligence model that will provide accurate recommendations in the coming months, learning from each experience.

In terms of its focus on technology, Podoactiva has patented worldwide the 3D Scan Sport Podoactiva®, a high-precision foot scanning method that enables biomechanical studies of gait and footfall. This has led to the development of customized insoles with absolute precision, robotically manufactured thanks to 3D-generated models. More than 500,000 patients, including 4,500 elite athletes, benefit from this innovative approach.

Today, the company has a network of 150 podiatric clinics and units throughout Spain and 14 international clinics and units in places such as Andorra, Mexico, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Costa Rica. With more than 250 employees, Podoactiva has stood out for its excellence in treatments and consultation protocols.
