Meritxell Soler made history at the Olympic Games in Paris 2025. The champion of the Vueling Race Bombers Barcelona 2021 and 2022 finished the marathon in a time of 2:29:56, which helped her to finish in 25th position overall, the 8th among the Europeans and signing the third best historical mark by a Spanish athlete in a Olympics.<\/p>\n
“I’m super happy. I finished in position number 25, not even in my wildest dreams! I was ranked 58, we knew that we had done a good preparation and that we were going to do better because I was training very well, but this it’s a marathon and you never know. Also, I’ve never done a marathon with an incline, but we managed it really well, I felt really good the whole time, which is what I wanted”, <\/em>said the runner from Manresa after finishing the race.
